White Closet bride Robin walked down the aisle in the stunning Stella York 6586 wedding dress that she customized to complement her timeless bridal look. She said "I do!" to her new husband John in a beautiful ceremony overlooking the mountains in North Carolina. Despite the rainy weather, Robin & John's wedding day portraits still have us in awe!

Wedding Day
From the bride: "We strayed from having a theme and went more with having a style. We wanted our wedding to be classic, elegant and timeless. John proposed to me on a trip to the mountains, so while planning our wedding I knew I wanted that to be a part of our day. We found the perfect place on top of a mountain in western North Carolina. The venue had the most perfect combination of elegance and class, with the most breathtaking long range views. Keeping those three words (classic, elegant, timeless) in mind, everything fell into place, making it the most magical and perfect day!"
"I have two favorite moments from my wedding day... both are cheesy but honest. I wavered up until the day before on whether or not to do a first look; I couldn't decide! But I knew that seeing him would set my butterflies to rest, and it did for both of us. The moment he turned around and we locked eyes was the most amazing wonderful moment. Everyone and everything just feel to the side and it was just him and I on top of the world. I could have stayed there with him all day!!! My second favorite moment was when we were pronounced Mr. And Mrs. That moment still brings tears of elation to my eyes."

The Dress
We first met Robin when she came to an alterations appointment with us for her friend and fellow White Closet bride Kayla!"I went with a friend to a dress fitting at The White Closet Bridal a week before my mom and mother in law were making a trip down to go dress shopping with me. After spending time there, I made an appointment and cancelled several other places. Allison made me feel so welcome and at ease before it was ever about me! During my appointment, Allison was patient and comforting and reassuring. The way everyone made me feel throughout the entire process was my favorite thing. From my first appointment to my final fitting, everyone was so amazing!!!"
While shopping for the perfect dress, Robin tried on many different styles! She found herself loving everything about Stella York 6586 wedding dress but one thing: the neckline! She absolutely loved the sweetheart neckline from another dress. During alterations, our talented seamstress Natasha was able to customize the neckline on her gown to achieve Robin's desired look! It came out perfectly and we love how Robin was able to create a unique dress with just one simple change!
From the bride: "My goal was to be the prettiest version of myself I could be. I wanted to look back in 20 years and be happy with my choice. I wanted classic, elegant, and timeless. With a few modifications that the amazing Natasha did, I was able to achieve that."
