At White Closet Bridal, helping brides pick out their wedding dress is our second favorite part of the job. The first is finally seeing the outcome of all the hard work that goes into wedding planning and watching a bride’s vision become reality, which was definitely a treat in Kara’s case! Drawing inspiration from their venue’s natural landscape, Kara and Andrew’s wedding looked like a picture-perfect postcard.

Kara and Andrew’s late October wedding was the bohemian bride’s dream come true. Held at the Trillium in Sevierville, TN, they said their “I do’s” in front of a gorgeous view of the Smoky Mountains, which inspired the naturesque theme of their ceremony. Their color palette complemented the surrounding hues of autumn: peachy pinks and muted oranges, blended with touches of greenery and dried grass. “Andrew and I had our first date in Gatlinburg back in 2015, so we thought it was fitting to get married there almost exactly six years later,” says Kara. “We chose October 21st because that was the day my parents were married,” she continues. We just can’t get enough of how sentimental these two lovebirds are!

When we welcomed Kara into her appointment at White Closet Bridal, she came clear with her vision, which made finding her dream dress a breeze! She told us that she wanted a bohemian gown that had some added shimmer to give her look a whimsical feel. We helped Kara find a lovely Madi Lane wedding dress that featured a trailing skirt, botanical-inspired lace appliqués, and the power to quickly steal Kara’s heart! “Shopping for my dress was super easy and fun. It was the second dress I tried on, and I said yes immediately,” she says.
